Dan Carter kicked 13 points as Racing 92 thrashed Welsh side the Scarlets 64-14 in the European Rugby Champions Cup overnight.
Carter's former Crusaders teammate Casey Laulala scored a hat-trick as the Paris-based side ran in nine tries to hand Wayne Pivac's Scarlets their biggest ever European defeat.
One of Laulala's tries was due to some crafty misdirection play by the Racing backline.
The victory confirmed a home playoff quarterfinal for Racing as winners of pool 3 with a pool match remaining.
