PERTH - New Zealand's former K1 1000 canoeing world champion Ben Fouhy has won a bronze medal in the K1 competition at the ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships held on Perth's Swan River.
Spain's reigning world champion Manuel Busto continued his domination of canoe marathon paddling by winning the event.
Busto finished a boat length ahead of his Spanish teammate Emilio Merchan who had been sitting just ahead of Busto for the majority of the race.
Fouhy came in just ahead of Czech Tomas Jezek and Edwin De Nijs from the Netherlands.
