Joseph Parker captured the boxing world's attention in the aftermath of his unanimous decision victory over Carlos Takam last night.
Here is some of the best reaction:
Trainer Kevin Barry: "We've been taking little steps over the last three years but I've got to say, this was not a little step. This was a real guy. I tried to prepare everybody and tell you that Joe was going to have to dig deeper than he ever had before - he dug deeper than he ever has before.
Promoter Dean Lonergan: "I'm not elated, I'm just relieved. Joseph has made a statement tonight that he's one of the best heavyweights in the world."
British heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte, 28, was not impressed with Parker's performance.
Whyte, stopped by Joshua in seven rounds in December, told the Sun: "He did alright, but I'd love to fight him. I can see so many holes in his game.
"It was all about the win, but I don't think Takam is better than me right now. He's on his last legs, as he showed against Parker.
"He never had that drive and desire to win the rounds. If he'd found an extra gear, he could have beaten Parker.
"Parker's power is definitely overrated. He's fought a lot of sandbags and knocked them over.
"I would like to fight him, 100 per cent. I've seen things in his game to make me think I could knock him out."
'What a sad watch. Whole thing was sad.'
