After comprehensively defending his NZBF Super Middleweight title just two minutes into the first round of his fight against Wellingtonian Joe Blackbourn in the lead up to the Joseph Parker vs Carlos Takam main event, you could understand Jordan Tai's joy and excitement when he had won by knocking Blackbourn out.
However, the Aucklander was unable to control his joy and excitement, and showed both the crowd and the live television audience a classic example of how not to celebrate.
After landing the decisive blow on his opponent, Tai threw his hands in the air as celebration before running and jumping onto the ropes.
Unfortunately for Tai, his excitement was too much for the ropes too handle, as his legs gave way, flipping Tai over the ropes.
