Heavyweight boxer David Tua is offering to help around the home for a day in aid of research into breast cancer, a disease his mother successfully battled.
Organisers of the venture said today that bids for Tua's services could be placed on internet auction site Trade Me until August 7.
The exact prize would be finalised with the winning bidder, but could involve chores such as picking up children from school and doing the ironing.
All proceeds would go to the Breast Cancer Research Trust, which Tua said he was humbled to be able to help.
"Knowing that my own mum, who I love so much, is a survivor of this terrible illness, it gives me great joy that I can honour her and fellow sufferers by doing this small but meaningful deed," he said in a statement.
