A battered and dejected Shane Cameron took his loss to Danny Green in Wednesday night's title fight hard, and the scale of disappointment was shared by award-winning journalist Howard Dobson.
The TV3 Sports Tonight host was overcome with emotion following the IBO world cruiserweight fight and broke down in tears in a radio interview on radiolivesport with Ian Smith and Nathan Rarere.
"He's just a staggering chap.... he's done New Zealand proud," said a clearly distraught Dobson.
"He wants to carry on, right now he just needs to recover.... But he'll be back, he'll be back."
"His father said he let nobody down and they love him ...... and it's just staggering what happened."
