Floyd Mayweather Jr. isn't one to shy away from boasting his wealth or his extraordinary boxing achievements - he produced another fine example of this on social media.

Defeating UFC superstar Conor McGregor in a boxing match in Las Vegas last August, Mayweather bumped his boxing record to 50 wins and zero defeats.

The bout was more of a money-earner than a professional boxing match with Mayweather showing why he is regarded as one of the greatest of all-time.

McGregor stood little chance against Mayweather who beat him and walked away with a reported $100 million.

Posting to Instagram, Mayweather shared a picture of the cheque for $100 million he earned from the fight.

"Some people say there's a difference between being smart and intelligent.

"Everyone knows that common sense isn't so common, but when it comes to being wise beyond years it's proven I've got the Midas touch," Mayweather said.

He said if he keeps getting cheques like this, he will continue to have the last laugh over his opponents.

"It's simple math, being 50-0 lets you know I READ my opponents just as clear as you can READ this $100,000,000 check [sic]," Mayweather said.

Meanwhile Mayweather's father Floyd Mayweather Sr. reportedly handed himself over to police on Thursday (US time).

TMZ report that Mayweather Sr. is facing misdemeanour battery charges following an incident surrounding the recent Caleno Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin fight.

Apparently, the Mayweather Sr. got into an altercation with a woman before dragging her out of his car by the leg after she refused to exit the vehicle.

According to the police report Mayweather Sr. then struck her in the leg before driving away from the scene.

He is set to appear for a bench trial in Clark County, on March 27th.
