Sonny Bill Williams' fight against South African Francois Botha is in doubt due to his pectoral injury.
Williams has admitted the injury suffered while playing for his new Panasonic Wild Knights club could rule him out of fighting the former heavyweight world champion in Brisbane on November 24.
The former All Black said he was waiting on the results of an MRI scan before making a decision. "I have got four weeks off now and I am supposed to be preparing for a big fight with Botha, but I just need to find out what is going on with this injury," Williams told Australian media in Sydney today.
"If I can't fight, then hopefully I will be right when I am due to go back to Japan. We will just wait and see what happens."
Williams is expected to sign with the Sydney Roosters to play in the NRL.
