American Lamon Brewster retained his World Boxing Oraganisation heavyweight belt yesterday, beating German Luan Krasniqi in the ninth round in Hamburg.
Krasniqi was hoping to take the world heavyweight title back to Germany on what would have been Max Schmeling's 100th birthday.
Brewster floored Krasniqi in the eighth round. The German beat the count but the referee stopped the fight in the next.
