Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has signed a contract to fight Ireland's Kevin McBride in Washington on June 11, his manager said.
Shelly Finkel told the Washington Post that Tyson, who has been training in Arizona, renewed his licence with the DC Boxing and Wrestling Commission this week.
The 38-year-old Tyson has not fought since his stunning loss in the fourth round to British heavyweight Danny Williams in July.
He is more than US$38 million ($53.3 million) in debt, Finkel said.
Tyson became the world heavyweight champion in 1986 and has a 50-5 record, with 44 knockouts.
The 31-year-old McBride, who is now based in the United States, has won 32 of his 37 fights, with 27 knockouts.
He has won his last seven bouts.
