David Tua knocked out Kentucky's Russell Chasteen in the second round of their 10-round heavyweight boxing contest at Atlantic City today.
A powerful right to the side of Chasteen's head followed by left cross to the body sent Chasteen to the canvas 1min 41sec into the second round.
Tua's right hand did the damage.
Tua will prepare for a rematch with Hasim Rahman early next year, with the winner guaranteed a shot at the International Boxing Federation title.
Tua beat Rahman on a 10th round technical knockout in 1989.
Commonwealth Games representative Danny Codling, in his professional debut, knocked out his American opponent John Rivers of Ohio in the first round of their four-round junior middleweight fight in the same programe.
