American Jermain Taylor retained his World Boxing Council middleweight world title yesterday with a 12-round unanimous decision over Uganda-born southpaw Kassim Ouma in Arkansas.
Fighting in front of a vocal hometown crowd, Taylor remained unbeaten, improving to 26-0 with one drawn and 17 wins inside the distance. The ringside judges scored it 117-111, 115-113 and 118-110 for Taylor.
