New Zealand's involvement at the World Amateur Boxing Championships ended yesterday when lightweight Angus Donaldson was eliminated in his first round bout.
Donaldson of Palmerston North was beaten 29-9 on points by Uzbekistan fighter Bekzad Khidirou.
New Zealand middleweight Kahukura Bentson and light heavyweight Zigzag Wallace also went out in the first round.
Super heavyweight Isekeli Ma'ama and heavyweight Yamiko Chinula lost in the second round.
