Joseph Parker is gearing up for the fight of his life against Andy Ruiz Junior but it hasn't stopped him taking time out to wish another feisty battler the best of luck in another ring.
Speaking to Paul Henry on Tuesday morning, the Kiwi boxing hero backed National MP Judith Collins to step into the Beehive ring as a replacement PM for John Key.
"Maybe I'd need to go back and study if I want to be a politician, that's not my area," he joked with Henry.
Parker texted Collins message of support, reading: "Hi Aunty, Joseph here, I know all about fights. Your fight begins at 10 o'clock this morning. Love, Joe."
Parker is a cousin of Collins' husband David Wong Tung.
