Joseph Parker's promoter David Higgins will fly to London next week to puts the final touches on the Anthony Joshua world title unification fight.
In an update on the ongoing negotiations with Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn, Higgins said that the money had been agreed, with Hearn making a small concession on the purse.
Higgins had been holding out for 35 per cent of the profits and he said today the deal had been struck at between 30 and 35 per cent. He wouldn't say but the Herald understands Parker will pocket $12 million.
Higgins confirmed there was a rematch clause and if Parker was successful in the first fight - at a date and venue still yet to be confirmed - he would take 55 per cent in the second.
"The where and when is still up in the air. It will take a couple more weeks of groundwork to sort that," Higgins said.
