There is concern over Shane Cameron's right hand, less than three months out from his heavyweight bout against David Tua in Hamilton.
The man they call the 'Mountain Warrior' carried the injury into last week's homecoming bout in Gisborne and compounded the problem during the 11 round win.
An X-ray has not shown any bone damage, but Cameron will have an MRI scan today to assess the extent of the damage.
Cameron's manager Ken Reinsfield says they will not know the results of the MRI until next week.
Reinsfield says then they will know whether or not Cameron's preparation for his June 6 fight with Tua is in jeopardy.
