Rogan happily plays up to his nickname of The Entertainer, although with youth no longer on his side it's uncertain how long he will remain in the sport.
"I'm going to try to pick up on the acting and do more of it," he said. "I've been putting myself out there a bit to try to get somewhere with different things. I love TV. I love being around TV. I would go as far as to say I'm made for TV."
Despite his advancing years, Rogan is confident he won't disappoint when the bell rings in 10 days.
"I'm an all-action fighter. I'll go in and do the same thing from round one to round 12," he said. "Speed is very, very effective and I've got a lot of speed."
It helped Rogan win the first Prizefighter event, but Sprott has won two other events - in 2010 and last year's battle between UK and US heavyweights when he beat Joseph Parker's next opponent, Brian Minto, in the semifinals.
"I feel like I've got a slight edge," Sprott said. "I know what it's like to fight with the breaks but this is a little different. Obviously it's a harder one. You've got the likes of Hasim Rahman, you've got Rogan."
The 39-year-old Sprott, who is a regular sparring partner for world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, has a 40-21 record from a career which began in 1996.
Rogan and Sprott hold something of an advantage over others, given few are familiar with a knockout-style tournament — Kiwi wildcard Antz Nansen has been involved in them as a kickboxer.
Former world heavyweight champion Rahman, who will meet Nansen in the first round, will likely start as the favourite but hasn't fought since late 2012.
The other first-round match-ups include American Alonzo Butler against Kiwi Brice Ritani-Coe while former heavyweight title contender Kali Meehan will face Australian champion Hunter Sam. There is a $500,000 purse, with $200,000 reserved for the winner.
