New Zealand heavyweight boxer Shane Cameron's next fight has been postponed after his opponent seriously injured an eye in training.
Cameron was due to fight Australian Michael Kirby in Wellington on April 24.
However, Kirby detached his retina in training and has had to withdraw.
Cameron's manager Ken Reinsfield today said he attempted to replace Kirby with Israel Garcia, but the Puerto Rican was also unavailable, due to cuts received in his last fight.
Cameron's most recent bout, which many labelled a "farce", saw him defeat John Hopoate last month. Hopoate continually wrestled with Cameron until the referee disqualified the former league player.
