A hand injury to heavyweight boxer Shane Cameron has led to the postponement of New Zealand's "Fight of the Century".
The showdown with David Tua, to be staged at Westpac Stadium in Hamilton, had been set down for June 6.
However, Cameron injured his right hand early in his bout with American Robert Davis in Gisborne 11 days ago.
He went on to stop Davis in the 11th round of a scheduled 12-round contest.
The Cameron-Tua fight is now likely to take place in August.
Cameron's manager Ken Reinsfield said Cameron received three fractures in his hand which would require surgery.
He hoped the surgery could be scheduled for the end of this month after which there would be a two-month recovery before any impact work could begin.
There would then be another couple of months of buildup for the fight.
Both Reinsfield and Ian Fraser, spokesman for promoter Duco, said there was a commitment for the fight to go ahead.
