KEY POINTS:
Shane Cameron will be hoping his new training regime will see him stay out of harm's way in his upcoming heavyweight fight on Friday.
The Mountain Warrior faces off against American Friday Ahunanya in Auckland and he has been assisted in his preparation by a new technical trainer.
Antonio Garcia has trained title winners in the past and said given the nature of Cameron's opponent, they needed to improve his ability to land and get out of the way.
He said to change technical disciplines is not an easy job but he has been impressed with how quickly Cameron has adjusted.
Garcia added that Ahunanya is a counter puncher so they have been working on defence, jabbing, distance and timing to ensure Cameron is not the one getting hit. Garcia said Cameron has shown how smart a fighter he is by soaking it all in and he will be a very different fighter on Friday to the one seen in his last few fights.
Cameron said he has never felt better ahead of the title fight, where three separate belts are up for grabs.
