"Probably the biggest driver is losing my last fight and the way I lost it and who I lost it to," Cameron said of his motivation for this weekend.
"I know I'm a much better fighter than that so I'm going to prove that against a bigger, stronger guy in Kali Meehan; a guy that's a classier fighter than Minto.
"The hunger's come back and you can't force the hunger - it's either there or it's not, and if it didn't come back I wouldn't fight again but it's come back."
Cameron will also be trying to avoid an unwanted statistic on his record.
"I've never lost three fights in a row in my whole career, even as an amateur," the 29-4 Cameron said.
"I've come off two losses so I don't want it to be the first time I've ever lost three times in a row.
"So it's unheard of for me but I'm feeling good; I'm ready for this fight."
Cameron has said that if he can't get the job done tomorrow he will hang up the gloves and give the game away.
Meehan, a 44-year-old with a 41-5 professional record, has been bullish in his belief that he will put Cameron in to retirement.
Cameron was equally confident that he would win at the North Shore Events Centre.
"I just haven't been as vocal as he has," Cameron said.
"We both feel the same way. We are in the boxing business and when you take a fight, you don't take it to come second."
Green, who claimed the vacant IBO cruiserweight title when he beat Cameron in Melbourne and hasn't fought since, will commentate tomorrow's bout and wouldn't be drawn on tipping a winner.
"I honestly don't know and I don't want to call it," Green said after he caught up with Cameron yesterday. "I just hope that it lives up to what it can be.
"The bloke who wins is going to definitely earn it."
The winner of the Meehan-Cameron scrap will take the vacant WBA Oceania heavyweight title.
The bout is the main event after the cruiserweight Super 8 tournament.
Kiwi cruiserweight David Aloua (11-1) will also defend his regional titles against Australian Anthony McCracken (16-7-1).
Aloua and McCracken met in Brisbane in 2012, when Aloua won a split decision victory.
Meehan's son Willis, who is contracted to NRL club the Sydney Roosters, will take on Will Quarrie in his professional debut as part of the undercard.
