Boxing: Big pay day for boxer

American Roy Jones will defend his World Boxing Association heavyweight title against former world champion Evander Holyfield in October, says promoter Murad Muhammad.

Muhammad said the fight would take place on October 4 and carry a purse of US$15 million ($26.27 million) for Jones.

Jones made history in March when he beat John Ruiz to become the first former middleweight champion in more than a century to win a heavyweight title.
