Boxer Floyd Mayweather is 'kicking around the idea of another comeback'

Boxing star Floyd Mayweather may perform yet another retirement U-turn after posting a video of himself 'training in the gym like a maniac.'

Mayweather claimed he would hang up his gloves after his money-spinning win over UFC light weight champion Conor McGregor, insisting his 50th victory would be his final fight.

However, reports have suggested the former pound-for-pound king has been keeping in top shape at his Las Vegas gym with the hunger to fight for the 51st time.

Showtime Sports general manager Stephen Espinoza refused to rule out a potential Mayweather comeback after speaking with TMZ Sports.

"Floyd has been telling people close to him that he is considering a 51st fight — and he has been training like a maniac in the gym," he said.

"He is still in fighting shape and ready to go and we have been told he is kicking around the idea of another comeback."

Should he return, it remains to be seen who he would fight with previous opponent McGregor eyeing a showdown with Mayweather's old foe Manny Pacquiao.
