New Zealand bowler Rowan Brassey has drawn Australian Kelvin Kerkow in the first round of the Scottish International Open starting on Sunday, the second round of the World Bowls Tour.
Brassey was a qualifier for the tournament and faces a stiff task to beat sixth-seed Kerkow as 16 of the 19 top-ranked world bowlers descend on Perth for the six-day event.
There was an even more unfortunate draw for New Zealand qualifier Ross Stewart, who will play new world No 1 Andy Thomson, who was born in Scotland but represents England.
