Thirty-six players were named in Bowls New Zealand's 2005-06 high performance squad released today.
At the core of the squad are the 26 players named last month in the 2006 Commonwealth Games training squad.
The high performance squad include full international, A international and age group players.
Players such as Jamie Hill, Doug Wilson, Shannon McIlroy, Matt Gallop, Jason Lindsay, Manu Timoti, Katie Scott and Genevieve Baildon, all under 25, are included.
Newcomers include Australian-based national fours champion Richard Girvan, teenager Andrew Kelly, of Central Otago, Cathy Fleming, of Taranaki, and Marlborough's Josie Uren.
Recalled into the high performance set up are Philip Skoglund, Kelvin Scott, and Nelson's Colleen Earl.
National representative Sean Johnson is unavailable for personal reasons along with Wendy Jensen, who has withdrawn from the high performance programme, and Marlene Castle, who retired from international play last year.
