Bowls: NZers eliminated at Open

New Zealand's Jamie Hill and Chris Lourie were eliminated in the first round of the World Bowls Tour's International Open in Sheffield, England, yesterday. Hill lost to 12th-seeded Irishman Jonathan Ross 10-6, 7-8, 2-0.

Lourie went down 7-8, 3-7 to the 14th seed, Billy Jackson, of England.
