Bowls: NZ men's fours through to semifinals

The New Zealand men's fours are through to the semifinals of the Asia Pacific Bowls championships in Adelaide after defeating the United States 18-9 today (Thur).

Kiwis Tony Grantham, Dan Delany, Ali Forsyth and Richard Girvan will face Malaysia in the semis this afternoon (Adelaide time).

Singles Shaun Scott and Val Smith lost to Australian counterparts Brett Wilkie and Kelsey Cottrell respectively.

Results from quarter-finals:

Men's singles:
Brett Wilkie (AUS) defeated Shaun Scott (NZ), 21-8.

Women's Singles:
Kelsey Cottrell (AUS) defeated Val Smith (NZ), 21-15.

Men's Fours:
New Zealand (Grantham, Delany, Forsyth, Girvan) defeated USA (Ho, Regan, Dion, Siddall), 18-9.
