New Zealander Audrey Stevenson qualified for the women's semifinals at the world singles champion of champion bowls in Christchurch today.
Stevenson downed Nor Hashimah Imail (Malaysia) 2-9 11-8 2-0 and will meet Australian Julie Keegan in the semifinals.
The other semifinal will see England's Julie Saunders battle Ann Marie Fletcher (Scotland).
Both men's top seeds were eliminated this morning.
Top qualifier Roy Garden from Zimbabwe was downed 10-6 5-10 2-1 by Spain's Keith Jones, while New Zealand hope Alan Dickson fell to Englishman Simon Jee 8-7 9-8.
