Jamie Hill's dream run at the world bowls indoor championships came to an end yesterday with a semifinal loss to England's Greg Harlow at Norfolk.
The Auckland bowler, 24, lost to the 14th seed 6-10, 2-8.
"I just didn't feel comfortable today - maybe I was just too relaxed," he said.
Despite being in the draw for next week's Welsh International Open in Llanelli, the young New Zealander was immediately heading for a flight to Australia where he represents his country in a tri-nations event in Melbourne.
In the first semifinal, Norfolk local Mervyn King survived a brave comeback by English qualifier Robert Paxton to win 11-3, 7-10, 2-1.
