Ali Forsyth's unbeaten run at the Bowls New Zealand National Championships has continued on the opening day of the men's fours.
Forsyth, along with teammates Tony Wood, Paul Titcombe and John Young, has enjoyed another dominant day on the greens of New Plymouth racking up a 21-12 win over Colin Christie, a 19-9 victory over Gerard Hurst and a 20-12 triumph over Dean McMurchy in Sunday action.
The recently-crowned world champion's Victorian team is clearly the leading combination to beat with one more day of section play before the knockout stages begin in all disciplines from Tuesday.
Also impressing in the men's fours on Sunday was the Peter Belliss-skipped team that chalked up three wins from three. Others to go unbeaten were Sheldon Bagrie-Howley, Gary Lawson, Darren Goodin, Bradley Down, Ross Henderson, Dean Elgar, Kevin Hills, Ray Lovie, Ray Martin, Steve Hoeft, Brian Baldwin and Stefan McCartain.
In women's fours action Sarah Scott had an unbeaten day to continue her good run at these National Championships while the Jo Edwards-skipped super team of Val Smith, Kirsten Edwards and Tayla Bruce weren't troubled.
