A capacity field of 48 teams will contest Bowls North Harbour's prestigious $10,000 three-day Invitation Premier Triples tournament at Browns Bay this weekend. Teams from as far afield as Whangarei will be battling for the first prize of $1500.
They will play four qualifying matches tomorrow, split into three sections of 16 on the Sunday, then play off in sections of eight on the Monday. Ross Haresnape, who is in great form, having won North Harbour's mixed pairs title and reached the final of the men's centre pairs, will start the event as favourite.
