Bowls: Earwaker, 91, bowls them over

Eddie Earwaker, who turns 92 in two months' time, showed yesterday that bowls remains a sport for all ages.

Earwaker played lead in a Takapuna club four skipped by 1960 Olympic Games hockey representative Murray Mathieson which won the Mairangi Bay's annual Founders Fours tournament.

The Takapuna four beat a composite lineup skipped by Con Kater 16-10 in the final.
