New Zealander Dwayne Cameron has beaten his Fijian opponent in his bowls semi-final this morning to go through to the final of the world singles champion of champions, being held in Christchurch.
The 2004/05 national open singles winner drew the first set with Fiji's Saijad Khan 6-6 before winning the second set convincingly 10-3.
Cameron lost to Khan in round one last Saturday but managed to beat defeat him this morning, having improved significantly in the past few days.
"When I played him in the first game, I struggled, but I knew I would be in with a chance after how I've played recently," Cameron said.
"I just concentrated in my own game. I didn't really have a plan, I just wanted to draw more shots than him."
The other men's semi-final is between Australia's Shane Globits and England's Mark Walton.
The final starts at 2.30pm today.
