Jo Babich capped an outstanding season when at the annual lunch of the Rawhiti club she was acclaimed yesterday as Auckland's bowler of the year.
Babich, from the Carlton-Cornwall club, was the winning skip this year in Christchurch in the national women's pairs and four titles, as well as winning several centre titles.
Babich's club-mate, Bev Crowe, who partnered her in the national successes, was among the finalists at yesterday's lunch.
The lunch and tournament raised $10,000 for the Child Cancer Foundation.
