Kiwi sailor Blair Tuke and his crew aboard the Spanish entry Mapfre came unbelivebly close to colliding with their rivals Dongfeng racing during the third leg of the Volvo Ocean race.
The close call happened just off shore of the Cape of Good Hope as the two boats were sailing in the next leg of the global race from Cape Town
They somehow managed to avoid each other and have since sailed into the Indian Ocean with Mapfre holding a small lead over the rest of the pack.
