Point guard Angela Marino led with 20 points and six assists as the Tall Ferns beat Japan 110-71 for their second win in the William Jones Cup women's basketball tournament in Taiwan last night.
The New Zealanders were always in control of the game.
Veteran Rebecca Cotton had a double double (15 points/13 rebounds).
Japan fielded their Under-24 team, who will play in the upcoming World University Games.
After leading 26-13 at the end of the first quarter, the Ferns lost the second period (22-24) before steadying.
