Basketball: Tall Ferns keep Maher

Tom Maher has re-signed as Tall Ferns coach to guide the national women's basketball team for another four years, resisting an offer from China.

Maher, an Australian, led the New Zealand side to the Olympic Games quarterfinals in Athens in August after victories over Korea and China in pool play.

The Tall Ferns' next assignment is the Oceania championships in August.
