New Zealand Basketball CEO Iain Potter will settle for Steven Adams only being available for the Basketball World Cup.
The prospect of Adams playing for the Tall Blacks has increased after signing a staggering four year NZ$142 million deal with Oklahoma City Thunder.
Potter says they would love him to play all the time but ultimately want him for the big one.
Potter says four of the next six international opportunities are during the NBA season so there is only a small window for Adams.
