The game started out as a slow and scrappy encounter, with the Tall Blacks relying on Webster for the bulk of their offence after the star shooting guard sat out the win over China the night previous.
After falling behind by three at the break, Webster's 14 first-half points gave the Kiwis at 31-30 lead going into the second half.
A quick 10-0 run to begin the second spell gave the Tall Blacks a big buffer, but as has been the case all tournament, the contest tightened up going in the final quarter, with Henare's troops leading by just the solitary point.
The fourth quarter was where the Tall Blacks stepped up yet again, dialling up the pressure on both ends of the floor as Webster took advantage offensively.
The Breakers shooting guard hit four threes and shot 8/10 from the line as part of a 9/20 shooting display, while Fotu shot 6/15 as the duo made the All-Tournament team; Webster being named tournament MVP.
Mika Vukona added eight points and six rebounds, while Thomas Abercrombie put in good work on the glass with seven boards.
Henare was proud of his side's accomplishment, but noted the ultimate end goal that the Tall Blacks are aiming for.
"It is important that we enjoy this and take the time to reflect on what we have achieved," said Henare.
"These moments are rare for New Zealand basketball and we need to take the chance to be proud of what we have done, be humble but be proud.
"But now we quickly turn our attention to the main focus, this is all leading up to the series against Australia, that is our one and only goal and we are only a few steps along the way. We have plenty of improving to do, we know that and we have stayed focused on that throughout this tournament, but for now, I think we have earned the right to enjoy it for a few hours before the flight home."
The title ends a tour which also consisted of a win over Great Britain and close losses to Croatia and Slovenia.
The Tall Blacks now head home to prepare for the two-match series against Australia starting next Saturday in Melbourne.
