Basketball: Tall Blacks claim 3rd place

The Tall Blacks have thumped Venezuela in the playoff for third and fourth at the Four Nations basketball tournament in Sante Fe, Argentina.

New Zealand's won 100 to 70 to secure their first win in six games on the South American tour.

New Zealand led 28-19 after the first quarter and 47-36 at half-time.

The Tall Blacks extended that lead to 75 - 56 at the end of the third quarter.

New Zealand plays a friendly game against Argentina before returning home.
