Tall Blacks star Kirk Penney could be donning the New Zealand Breakers colours next season.
Penney has confirmed he has been in contact with the franchise, and would love to sign a deal to play in the NBL.
Penney said after living overseas for eight years, it would be nice to spend some time back in New Zealand.
The Tall Blacks guard confirmed he and his agent have been in talks with the Breakers, although nothing serious is on the table at this stage.
Penney said it has been a long time since he has spent any significant time in New Zealand, as every time he comes home, he ends up going on the road with the national side.
Penney will be back in New Zealand in four weeks and hopes to catch up with the Breakers on his return home.
