Recuperating Tall Blacks point guard Mark Dickel's basketball odyssey is about to take in Germany for the first time after confirming a contract with reigning champions Bamberg.
Dickel, recuperating from back surgery at his base in Las Vegas, has a contract for a season that also sees the Bundesliga champions compete in the 2007-08 Euroleague.
The 30-year-old hopes to rejoin the national side for their European tour before an Olympic qualifying tournament against Australia. He has previously played in Australia, Turkey, Belgium, Russia, Poland and Greece.
