The Tall Blacks miserable trans-Tasman series continued with a crushing loss 92-68 against the Australian Boomers at Sydney Entertainment Centre.
The Boomers executed a clean sweep of the series 3-0 with ruthless display that further highlights the divide in class between the two teams.
Trailing 41-45 at the break, the Tall Blacks scored the opening points of the second stanza to close the gap to two points but that was the closest they would get as the Boomers stretched the lead to a 24 point margin by the match's end.
New Zealand's Olympic dreams were dashed after losing the first two games and had hoped to gain some redemption heading into the match but a myriad of errors and fierce opposition was too much to cope with.
Australia's Aleksandar Maric topped the scoring charts with 27 points, 8 rebounds followed by David Barlow on 17 points with Patrick Mills contributing 14 points and two steals.
