The Tall Blacks' basketball coach is heading offshore.
Tab Baldwin has accepted a contract to coach a team in the Turkish national league until May, but he will still stay on as national coach.
Baldwin said he needed to get some actual coaching under his belt, with his last coaching job being at the Olympics.
Baldwin admits he has missed it and said this was a very good opportunity.
He has given up his post of high performance manager at Basketball New Zealand.
But he will be guiding the Tall Blacks in the world championship qualifiers against Australia in August.
He leaves for Turkey on Monday.
