The NBA's reigning MVP Stephen Curry is out for at least two weeks after suffering a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his right knee during the Golden State Warriors' Game Four victory over the Houston Rockets on Monday morning (NZT).
Curry's sprained knee forces him out of at least the start of the second round of the NBA play-offs, assuming his Golden State side advance past Houston in the first round.
The Warriors currently lead the series 3-1.
The Warriors' second round opponent would depend on the winner of the first round series between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Portland Trail Blazers.
Curry struggled during his 19 minutes of play against the Rockets before the injury occurred, scoring six points and shooting two from nine shots.
