Kevin Durant has cultivated a relatively clean-cut image as an NBA star, pulling in huge endorsement money from Nike and earning a reputation as one of the most talented scorers in basketball history.
But underneath his playing gear he's got some pretty interesting tattoos.
The newest member of the Golden State Warriors is running out of real estate on his torso, which features among other ink the logo of the Washington Nationals baseball team, a cross, a drawing of the home he grew up in and several inscriptions including "walk by faith and not by sight" and "the fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honour".
Durant's back is also completely covered. He has his home state of "Maryland" in huge letters above a basketball-holding angel and his entire right side is covered with more scripture, namely James 1: 2-4 which reads: "Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colours. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way." Unfortunately there's a typo in there too.
