Matthew Dellavedova's journey from country Victoria to an NBA champion will be immortalised in a feature film.
The Milwaukee point guard and his agent Bruce Kaider have met with Los Angeles based producers Zachary Green and Jason Shuman to discuss the project, which will culminate with last year's NBA title with Cleveland.
Kaider said the film would be in the same mould as Rocky and Hoosiers, with production set to begin in Australia next year.
"Delly's inspirational story about overcoming the odds is one everyone can relate to," he said."In real life, it played out just like a movie."
Dellavedova went undrafted in 2013 before being picked up by the Cavaliers.
