West Sydney Razorbacks' foundation player and Australian National Basketball League legend Bruce Bolden will be given the unique honour of being the first player to have his singlet retired by the club.
A 17-year veteran of the NBL, Bolden retired at the end of last season aged 39 after 147 games for the Razorbacks, the club he joined for their 1998-99 league debut season.
Bolden, who has previously spent four seasons as a Sydney King, went on to relish clashes with his old team.
A powerful forward with a cult-like following, he was prized for his unyielding play, strong leadership and shrewd ability to draw a foul.
Bolden's number 32 singlet will be retired before tip-off in the Razorbacks versus Sydney Kings game on February 21 by club chairman Tony Looby and displayed at the State Sports Centre.
In 1992 Bolden won an NBL Championship ring with South East Melbourne Magic, taking the Grand Final MVP honour. He played in the Razorbacks' grand final against Adelaide in 2002.
