KEY POINTS:
MELBOURNE - South Dragons rookie Shannon Seebohm is out of a coma and responding to commands following his shock collapse during a National Basketball League training session.
Doctors won't know for another 24-48 hours why the 19-year-old collapsed and the prognosis for his future, according to Dragons' general manager Ryan Gardiner.
"He's awake and he's following commands and can answer questions so it's all positive news," he said.
"It's much more positive today than it was yesterday."
Seebohm, an Australian under-19 player, was practising with teammate Brad Hill at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC) on Wednesday afternoon when the incident occurred.
It's understood his heart stopped, he stopped breathing and went into a seizure, immediately receiving CPR from MSAC staff, who revived him before he was rushed to hospital.
