Cairns coach Aaron Fearne has promised Taipans fans they won't be left wondering after tomorrow's do-or-die ANBL match against the Breakers at the Snakepit.
Everything suggests the Breakers will create sporting history ... everything except venomous Taipans fans screaming their lungs out to push the ANBL grand final into a third game decider.
Fearne says the Taipans are primed to go into battle for such loyal fans.
"It will definitely be a war out there," said Fearne. "The crowd will be ready to fight and we'll be ready to fight and we know New Zealand will be, too."
Fearne said rebounding would be crucial.
"At the end of the day they're a very, very talented team which means we have to work extra hard and be more desperate and fight and claw at every single aspect of the game."
More than 5000 Cairns fans snapped up tickets in less than an hour. But it will require something extra special from the Taipans to square the best-of-three series. Nevertheless, in sport, anything can happen on the day.
